研究领域

海洋环境和可燃冰:得到美国自然科学基金会和英国工程与物理基金会多个项目的资助。在近海和河流多种复杂条件下的的污染扩散,难降解有机污染物的计算模拟和现场污染治理等方面取得一系列有重要的学术和应用价值的成果。回国后继续在石油污染物的吸附解析特性方面开展工作。鉴于可燃冰的重大应用前景,回国后开始建立可燃冰研究团队和实验室。目前已经在实验室生成了可燃冰,建成微纳尺度的X-射线观测系统。正在进行可燃冰的机理和开采工艺的研究。

海洋仪器和装备:获得了英国工程与物理基金会的重大项目资助,与英国国家实验室合作以开发超高速度LDV/PIV仪检测纳米颗粒及海洋观测仪器。在超高速图像获取、处理和传输等方面取得重要突破,有广泛和重要的应用价值。回国后得到863重大项目课题和孔雀计划课题资助,研制成功深海原位微颗粒速度和通量观测仪器,近期将安放在深海,连入国家海底科学实验网。正在建设国家级《深圳深海海洋工程装备配套试验平台项目》,在深圳大鹏筹建海上试验场。与企业合作开展创新链产业链融合项目,开发深海海洋装备。

海洋动力学:浅水动力学的浅水海岛尾流问题是多年来困扰科学家们的难题。首次在实验室成功的重演了卫星观测到的洋流大尺度紊动水流结构并找出了流态演变的控制参数。运用稳定性理论成功地获得与天然观测和实验室模拟吻合的结果。实验成果在权威的国际流体力学年鉴中被评价为非常漂亮的成果。这一创造性工作对浅水动力学作出了重大的贡献。该研究领域已发展为一门新兴学科,是三次国际浅水动力学会议的科学顾问,被公认为该新兴学科的主要创始人之一。回国后继续开展海岛和海山尾流的研究,参加由中国海洋大学主持的国家973项目关于岛屿周围涡动力学的课题。

海洋卫星遥感和信息: 在卫星遥感的中红外波段信号成功地检测植物水,所提出的新植物指数NDWI在国际上得到广泛认可。单篇文章SCI引用近600次。回国后正在开展海洋遥感方面的工作, 包括卫星高度计,SAR等方面。在信息科学方面,与美国大气与海洋管理局合作开发了现代化的环境和水文信息系统用于河流和近海环境污染预测和防洪,并且作为欧洲环境和水文开放式系统的一部分继续开发。回国后主持环保部公益科研项目关于污水排海优化的数据库和信息系统开发。
